Why Viv?

Families First had an outdated website that didn’t reflect their cutting-edge programs and significant social impact. Images were small and often not compelling, and the site therefore didn’t communicate the organization’s full importance and impact to their communities and supporters.

We wanted to ensure that they would have the templates and tools to make changes themselves going forward.

A beautiful, modern redesign

Our design used the team’s most vital visual asset throughout the design of the new site – pictures of the families the organization has helped. The strong images inform an immersive design that guides viewers through the organization’s mission. Donors connect with the impact of their money and help potential program participants envision themselves as part of the Families First community.

We worked closely with the Families first team to eliminate, group, and combine items to help the navigation become clear and concise.

Bold, engaging images immerse the user in the organization's mission–helping helping potential program participants see themselves in the Families First community.

Custom interactive icons let viewers explore the site depending on their interests and learn more about the organization.

This versatile block highlights statistics to easily show the organization’s impact on local communities. The numbers can also be easily changed out on the back-end.

Testimonials bring to life the value of Families First programs, showcases the organization’s social impact, and presents to users the organization’s benefits directly from program participants.

This customizable block showcases Families First video content, a modern way to engage site viewers who want to learn more.

After several panes making the case for the work of Families First, these three buttons show different ways supporters can get involved in a way that is right for them.

Embedding social media keeps the site fresh and ensures viewers know the organization is lively, active, and up to date.

Signing up for an email list is an important call to action here that lets Families First connect with supporters.

Footer shows the basic information viewers need--like the organization’s address, the site map, and social media and email list links.

An Ongoing Collaboration

We leveraged the in-house expertise in the Families First team and worked closely together throughout both phases of the redesign. Many in-person meetings and frequent communication made this new website a true product of collaboration.
